Artiom Poddubnii Leads the Pack in Day 3 of €1,350 Mini Main Event

The action continues here at the 2023 World Series of Poker Europe at King's Resort in Rozvodov with Day 3 of Event #3: €1,350 Mini Main Event .

The event consisted of four starting flights which attracted a field of 1,729 total entrants, creating a prize pool of €2,000,000. A total of 461 players advanced from their starting flights to Day 2, where the field was reduced further to the final 58 players. Among those 58 players, Moldova's Artiom Poddubnii emerged as the Day 2 chip leader, finishing the night with 10,740,000 chips, worth 107 big blinds. Poddubnii is currently the only player in the field with more than 10,000,000 in chips.

Poddubnii has a career-best tournament score of $20,000 which he will surpass should he place 14th or better in today's event. Poddubnii is most closely followed by Romania's Marius Gicovanu (7,290,000) and Georgia's Lazare Kalebashvili (6,945,000).

Another notable player to bag a top ten chip stack by the end of Day 2 is none other than the reigning World Series of Poker Europe main event champion Omar Eljach (6,575,000). Eljach has already gotten off to a hot start at this year's WSOPE by taking down Event #2: €550 Pot Limit Omaha 8-Max for €65,900 and his second WSOP gold bracelet.

Other notables to bag and tag for Day 3 include Day 1a chip leader Ihar Khursin (4,670,000) and bracelet winners Sebastian Langrock (1,600,000) and Fabio Peluso (1,480,000).

Day 3 is scheduled to begin on November 3 at 2 p.m. local time and play down until a final table is reached. Play will resume on level 26, which features 50,000/100,000 blinds with a 100,000 big blind ante.
