According to his former tablemates, he had gotten the last of his chips in preflop with ace-five offsuit only to run into [Removed:446]'s ace-king offsuit. Penev had turned a straight draw but failed to improve further and was sent to the rail in 18th place while Saran collected the last of his chips.

Davenport Shows a Wild Bluff

Eusebiu Jalba opened to 500,000 from the button and Matthew Davenport three-bet to 2,050,000 from the big blind. Jalba made the call.

The flop came K♣6♠3♥ and Davenport fired a 1,150,000 continuation bet that was called by Jalba.

Jalba called another bet from Davenport on the J♦ turn, this time for 1,400,000.

The river was the 2♥ and Davenport moved all in for 6,825,000, sending Jalba, who covered Davenport slightly, deep into the tank. Davenport remained motionless as Jalba worked through what was clearly a difficult decision for several minutes.

Eventually Jalba sent his cards into the muck. Davenport showed that he had 7♦4♦ for just seven high and a missed gutshot straight draw and before scooping a massive pot without showdown.

The dealer fanned a flop of 7♠9♠6♠, and Kim bet 475,000. Francis Klar in the small blind check-called. But after a few seconds, Mikael Hen in the big blind decided to check-raise all in for 1,350,000 chips. Kim eventually called, and Klar called too.

On the turn Q♦, Klar moved directly all in for 1,875,000 chips, and Kim snap called.
