De Wever Knocks Out Lovric

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Filip Lovric
Filip Lovric

There were two seat open in quick succession over on table 127 and those included Aibek Lekerov as well as Filip Lovric. The latter had lost most of his chips not long ago and then put his hopes on the AK64.

Raf We Wever looked him up with the KK76 and stayed ahead all the way on the K825A runout.

All of a sudden, the field is down to the last 34 players of which 31 will reach the money.

Tsang Loses His Crown

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Anson Tsang
Anson Tsang

Anson Tsang and Tobias Peters were heads-up on a board of 76J5 and around 30,000 in the pot as Tsang, in the small blind, tanked for a minute before betting 30,000.

Tsang left only one orange 1,000 chip behind and Peters instantly moved all in. Tsang tossed in his last chip and showed AQJ7 for two pair, but Peters had AK43 for a straight.

The river came the 8 and Tsang, the two-time and defending champion of this event, was sent to the rail short of the money as Peters raked in more chips to add to his stack, which he has painstakingly organized in a symmetrical pattern.

Eljach Fills Up in Three-Way All In

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Omar Eljach
Omar Eljach

Three-handed on a flop of K108, Matthias Wieser potted to 62,000 in middle position and Filip Lovric called on the button. Omar Eljach then moved all in for 115,000 in the big blind, Wieser tossed in his last 30,000, and Lovric called to put both players at risk.

Matthias Wieser: AAK5
Omar Eljach: K1097
Filip Lovric: AQJ5

Eljach had top two pair to take the lead against Wieser's pair of aces, while Lovric was on a straight draw. The 10 turn left Lovric drawing dead as Eljach improved to a full house, while the 4 river sent Wieser off to the rail.

Wooram Cho

Marian Cocea got his short stack in with the AAK10 and was in great shape against the isolation by Wooram Cho, who held the KK83.

However, the case king came on the KJ574 runout and that spelled the end for Cocea.

Wieser Gets a Shove Through

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Goran Urumovic and Simon Taberham were eliminated in quick succession and the next shorter stack to make a move was Matthias Wieser. Omar Eljach limped in and then called a pot-sized raise to 24,000 by Wieser in the blinds. On the J66 flop, Wieser jammed for the last 32,000 and Eljach grinned before folding.

"This time, I had the jack and flush draw," Wieser mentioned in the table chat.

Carmi Eliminated by Izotov

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Eran Carmi
Eran Carmi

Picking up the action on the 865A turn, Eran Carmi bet 20,000 out of the big blind. Pavel Izotov on the button gave him a stare down for half a minute and raised to 59,000. Carmi wasted little time before moving all-in for around 140,000 and Izotov snap-called.

Eran Carmi: K874
Pavel Izotov: A975

Carmi was in rough shape with the eight-high straight and needed one of three nines in the deck to stay in contention. It was not meant to be when the J fell on the river and the field was reduced to the last 42 players.

Defending Champion Tsang Doubles Through Boatman

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

The KK10x9x of Barny Boatman were in the muck already and he paid off a double for Anson Tsang.

On a board of A53J6, the AK95 of Tsang had made two pair to get there.

Markus Anheier was not as fortunate and lost his all-in showdown as 43 players remain.

Vega Meister Cannot Bluff Jaros

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Alfredo Vega Meister
Alfredo Vega Meister

Alfredo Vega Meister raised and earned two callers in Farid Jattin as well as Patrik Jaros. On the A63 flop, Jattin and Jaros checked and Vega Meister bet 15,000 to earn a call from Jaros only.

The same action repeated on the 10 turn for 42,000 and Jaros also checked the 9 river. Vega Meister then pushed all-in and Jaros went into a brief tank before he called.

Vega Meister flashed a KxQJ9x for a bluff gone wrong and Jaros took it down with the 7654 for a flush. Both stacks were counted and the 89,000 of Jaros covered.

Kim Smacks the Turn on Grubinger

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Gab Yong Kim
Gab Yong Kim

Gab Yong Kim bet 16,000 on a flop of 945 before Marcel Grubinger raised to 80,000 on the button. Kim, in the cutoff, then moved all in and Grubinger called off his last 20,000.

Marcel Grubinger: 9965
Gab Yong Kim: 101063

Grubinger had flopped top set and needed to hold on against Kim's straight draw. The turn didn't complete Kim's straight, but it did come 10 as Kim spiked a higher set.

"That's the worst one," a tablemate said, and Grubinger couldn't find any miracles on the 8 river before heading off to the rail.
