Jaros and Eljach Lead the Way in Day 2 of Event #6: €5,000 Pot Limit Omaha

The action continues here at the 2023 World Series of Poker Europe at King’s Resort in Rozvadov. The event attracted a total of 202 unique entrants to create a total prize pool of €911,525. Of those 202 entrants, 52 players survived to find a bag and advance to Day 2.

Patrik Jaros had a dominating performance during yesterday’s Day 1, finishing the evening with 1,399,000 chips worth 175 big blinds. Jaros is the only player to bag more than 1,000,000 chips, and is most closely followed by Omar Eljach, who comes in with 914,000 chips to start Day 2, worth 114 big blinds.

Eljach has had a stellar series at the WSOPE so far, having already won Event #2: €550 Pot Limit Omaha for €65,900 as well as making the final table of Event #3: €1,350 Mini Main Event, finishing fourth for €103,350.

Others to bag big for Day 2 include Diana Volcovschi (904,000) who finished runner up to Eljach in the €550 Pot Limit Omaha event for €40,700, as well as Michael Rodrigues (747,000), who finished seventh in the same event for €21,000.

Some more notables looking to make a deep run today include Daniel Dvoress (381,000), Roland Israelashvili (266,000), Felipe Ketzer (158,000), Ren Lin (81,000), Felipe Ramos (73,000) as well as bracelet winners Jerry Odeen (783,000), Oleksii Kovalchuk (643,000), Renji Mao (302,000), Anson Tsang (223,000), Jonathan Pastore (165,000), Jan-Peter Jachtmann (160,000) and Tong Li (133,000).
