Guilbert Bounces Back

Level 5 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

James Chen raised to 7,000 from middle position and Arturo Paduano made the call from the cutoff. Johan Guilbert then squeezed in a three-bet to 28,000 from the button, which only Paduano called.

The 568 flop was checked by both players and the 3 turn was knuckled down as well. The 10 river then saw Paduano lead out for 38,000 and Guilbert made a swift call.

Paduano could only show A3 for bottom pair, while Guilbert played A10 for top pair. By winning this pot, Guilbert increased his stack to above what he started with after a tough start of the day.

Odeen followed a check from Suvarna by betting 13,000. Suvarna did not take long to muck his hand, as Odeen took down the pot.

Vito Chip Leading After Eliminating Astedt

Level 6 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Enzo Vito
Enzo Vito

Enzo Vito was seen with a big stack of roughly 900,000, and Niklas Astedt's chair was left empty. Vito was kind enough to tell PokerNews that he eliminated Astedt after Vito flopped a full house on 1010x8 with his 8x8x.

Astedt was playing the nut flush draw with A5 but had to hit runner-runner full house instead to still win the pot. He failed to do so and was the first casualty of Day 1.

Schwaederle Keeps Firing

Level 6 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The action was three-ways to the 7510 flop, with Joakim Andersson checking in the big blind and Renat Bohdanov doing the same in the cutoff. Cedric Schwaederle slid out a bet of 8,500, with Andersson folding and Bohdanov making the call.

Bohdanov checked again on the 3 turn, with Schwaederle firing another bet of 33,000. The call was made to the 9 river.

One last check from Bohdanov saw Schwaederle bet again, this time for 80,000. Bohdanov mucked his hand, as Schwaederle raked in the pot.

At a nearby table, Aliaksandr Shylko is the latest player to join the field.

Chen Adds Some More Chips

Level 6 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

James Chen raised to 9,000 from the hijack and Julien Sitbon made the call from the cutoff. The action then folded to Ole Schemion in the big blind, who put out a three-bet to 125,000 chips. Chen made the call before Sitbon got out of the way.

The 847 flop saw Schemion continue for a small bet of 18,000, after which Chen made a raise to 50,000 chips. Schemion made the call and the Q turn was dealt.

Schemion checked and Chen opted for a bet of 125,000, around half of Schemion's remaining chips. Schemion elected to fold his hand and Chen raked in another pot to add to his stack.

Hallay Takes From Loeser

Level 6 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Namhyung Kim opened to 9,000 from under the gun before Axel Hallay three-bet to 30,000 in the cutoff. Manig Loeser responded with a four-bet to 79,000 in the small blind, producing a fold from Kim.

Hallay called to the 3AK flop and called when Loeser led out for 30,000. Loeser then checked the 9 turn, making the call after Hallay fired 30,000 of his own.

The 7 river saw both players check it down, with Loeser showing AQ for top pair. Hallay revealed AK for two pair to take down a nice pot.
