Sabishchenko Doubles Up with Trips Against Speranzoni

Level 37 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

In a blinds-versus-blinds showdown, Alberto Speranzoni shoved all in from the small blind with A10, putting Rostyslav Sabishchenko to the test. Sabishchenko, holding A2, made the call, hoping to double his 3,075,000 stack.

The flop came down Q22, giving Sabishchenko trip deuces, and you could almost hear his sigh of relief.

Rostyslav Sabishchenko raised to 1,000,000 in the cutoff. Przemyslaw Szymanski then jammed all in for 7,650,000 on the button before Fadeev reshoved in the big blind.

Sabishchenko quickly got out of the way as the other players tabled their cards.

It was looking like Szymanski needed an ace to double up but instead he flopped two queens on QQ8 for a massive lead.

The J turn did bring Fadeev a much-needed king, and the Q river granted Szymanski four of a kind to win the pot in style.

Sabishchenko Scores Crucial Double Up

Level 38 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

From under the gun, Daniel Trunk opened the action with a raise to 1,300,000, holding a strong QQ. Rostyslav Sabishchenko, sitting with 5,700,000 in chips, saw his opportunity and pushed all in with A9. Trunk quickly called, setting up a showdown.

The flop came J104, not doing much to change the situation, with Trunk’s queens still in the lead. However, the turn brought the crucial A, giving Sabishchenko top pair and flipping the script.
