Shabani’s Flush Wins Against Sokolovsky’s Trips
Level 3
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Genc Shabani started things off with a raise to 500, and Alexander Sokolovsky called. But Mallory Frere had other ideas and three-bet to 2,000, which both players also called.
On the flop of A♣10♠7♥, Shabani checked, Sokolovsky bet 1,500, and both Frere and Shabani called.
The action slowed down on the turn with the 6♥ and the river A♥, as all players checked, leading to a showdown.
Sokolovsky revealed A♦K♥ for trips aces, but Shabani surprised everyone with 9♥8♥ for a flush. Frere's cards were tossed into the muck, and Shabani took down the pot.
