Vuilleumier Bluff-Shoves the River, Vella Hero Calls
Radek Honl made it 1,200 from the cutoff and Alexey Mishuk called on the button. Vito Vella came along from the small blind before Alexandre Vuilleumier three-bet the big blind to 7,500. Honl called, Mishuk folded, and Vella called.
On the flop of 8♣5♥5♣, Vella checked and Vuilleumier made a continuation-bet of 6,000. Honl and Vella both called.
All three checked the 4♣ turn to the Q♠ river where Vella checked and Vuilleumier shoved for 74,300. Honl quickly folded, and Vella went into the tank. Vella had around 140,000 remainnig in his stack so could definitely afford it, and after a while of trying to piece together the puzzle, he elected to call.
Vuilleumier showed K♣9♥ for just king-high, and Vella flipped 10♣10♠ for a pair of tens to scoop the pot.
