Zimmerer Zooms With Kings
Level 5
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Markus Zimmerer raised to 1,600 in early position and Said Madani called in the cutoff. Nick Palma defended his big blind and then checked the 8♠8♦7♥ flop.
Zimmerer bet 2,200, Madani called, and Palma folded 5♠5♥. Zimmerer sized up to 6,000 on the 10♥ turn and was once again called, after which the 4♣ river completed the board.
Zimmerer fired a third barrel worth 13,000. Madani spent some time in the tank and then called it off. Zimmerer tabled K♥K♣ for an overpair and Madani quickly tossed his 9♣7♣ in the muck.
