Runcan Gets River Value

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Fahredin Mustafov raised to 2,000 in the hijack. Markus Zimmerer called in the cutoff, as did Ran Shahar in the small blind. Paul Runcan then three-bet to 10,000 in the big blind, bringing only Mustafov along to the flop of 910J.

Runcan checked and Mustafov checked back. The same happened on the 6 turn before Runcan bet 3,000 on the 2 river.

Mustafov tossed in a quick call but saw his 88 lose to Runcan's QQ and mucked his cards.

Action was picked up on the flop of 97J where Jan Wieckenberg checked from early position. Mihai Gabriel Niste bet 2,300. Wieckenberg called.

The J was checked around before Wieckenberg bet 10,000 on the 9. Niste called.

"I can't beat that" said Niste as he was shown J9 which gave Wieckenberg a full house and the pot.

Madani Descends to Zero

Janne Nevalainen sat under the gun and raised to 1,600. Said Madani decided to call in the seat next to him, while Fahredin Mustafov came along in the small blind.

Heading to a flop of Q2A, Mustafov checked to Nevalainen, who bet 2,300. Madani called and Mustafov let go of 107.

The 8 fell on the turn. Nevalainen bet 5,500, Madani shoved all in for 19,000, and Nevalainen snap called.

Madani needed to hit a spade to stay in the tournament but the Q river made Nevalainen a full house instead. Madani quickly picked up his backpack and headed off the feature stage.

With around 15,000 chips in the middle on a board of 2663, Elmir Ndoj fired a bet of 5,500 and Christophe Panetti raised to 16,500. Ndoj thought for a few moments, then called.

On a flop of Q64 Hoang Phan checked from early position and Niklas Astedt bet 4,000 from the hijack. Dario Sammartino called on the button but Phan folded.

Astedt bet again on the 6 turn, this time for 12,000. Sammartino called.

The J came on the river and Astedt bet 7,000. Sammartino didn't take long before he tossed his cards into the muck and surrendered the pot to Astedt.

Nevalainen Victorious Despite Counterfeit

Janne Nevalainen raised his button to 1,600. Said Madani called in the small blind and Ran Shahar defended his big blind. The blinds checked to Nevalainen on the 3JA flop, who continued for 2,000.

Madani called before Shahar folded 108. Madani check-called the 6 turn for 4,500, after which he checked to Nevalainen for a third time on the 6 river.

The Finn tossed in a bet of 15,000, around the size of the pot. Madani spent some time in the tank but eventually came out with a call. Nevalainen tabled A3 for two pair, besting the J9 of Madani and raking in the pot.

Sheils showed A6 for a pair of aces, but was outkicked by A10 of Bullkich.
