Kim’s Aces Hold to Eliminate Schoss

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Stefan Schoss opened the action with a raise to 8,000, but De Han Kim, sitting in the big blind, responded with a three-bet to 25,000. Schoss quickly called, setting the stage for an interesting hand.

The flop came 3Q8, and Kim continued the aggression with a bet of 15,500. Once again, Schoss called without hesitation.

When the 10 hit the turn, Kim checked, giving Schoss an opening to shove his remaining 75,000 chips. Kim took his time, carefully counting his stack before making the call.

Schoss revealed AJ for ace-high with a straight gutshot, while Kim showed AA for an overpair of aces. The river brought the A, securing the hand for Kim and sending Schoss to the rail.

Elton Malaj Eliminated in 22nd Place (€2,284)

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Elton Malaj
Elton Malaj

Elton Malaj pushed all-in from early position, prompting Dirk Schumacher in middle position to ask the dealer for a chip count. After confirming it was 43,000, Schumacher decided to go all in himself, and with no one else interested in joining the fray, the cards were turned over for showdown.

Elton Malaj: 98All in
Dirk Schumacher: AQ

The flop brought a glimmer of hope for Malaj as it showed 497, giving him a pair of nines.

However, that hope quickly faded when the Q hit the turn, giving Schumacher the upper hand.

The 5 on the river offered no help to Malaj, and he was sent packing, leaving Schumacher to claim the pot.
