Xiaohua Yang raised his button to 1,200,000 and was called by Frederic Marechal in the big blind. Yang continued for 600,000 on the Q♥Q♣K♣ flop, which Marechal check-called.

The J♠ turn and 8♠ river were checked through. Marechal tabled K♠J♥ for two pair, sending Yang's 10♥8♣ into the muck and taking down the pot.

Anastasakis just called with his top pair before the 7♥ turn went check-check. Anastasakis then bet 2,500,000 on the 9♠ river, receiving a quick fold from Yang's ace-high.

Both checked the 5♠2♠6♦ flop, leading to the 4♦ turn hitting the table. Campisano took some thinking time before betting 1,800,000.

Marechal called with just ace-high, after which the 7♦ river completed the board. After a while, Campisano put in 2,500,000. This time, Marechal made a quick fold as Campisano got his bluff through.

Krause needed to win a flip to stay in the tournament but got off to the worst possible start as Marechal paired his king on the 8♥2♦K♥ flop. Things got worse on the A♥ turn as Marechal picked up a flush draw, which removed half of Krause's outs. That flush was completed on the 6♥ river, which sent Krause to the rail in fifth.
