Ill-Timed Bluff Leaves Van Hulst Short
Level 41
: Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Michal Schuh raised his button to 2,600,000 with A♠K♥ and received a call from Erik van Hulst in the big blind, who had Q♣3♦.
Van Hulst checked to Schuh on the J♦7♦A♣ flop, who bet 1,600,000. Van Hulst the raised to 5,000,000 with queen-high, seeing Schuh just call with his top pair.
The 3♥ turn made Van Hulst bottom pair. Instead of slowing him down he put 10,000,000 in the pot, around half his stack. Schuh then put him all-in for the rest and Van Hulst instantly folded.
