Pflock Catches Runcan Getting Out of Line and Overtakes Him in Chips

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Pascal Pflock
Pascal Pflock

Action was picked up on the flop where Pascal Pflock checked from the small blind to Paul Runcan who wagered 95,000. Pflock made the call.

Pflock check-called again on the A turn, this time it was a wager of 215,000. Pflock checked once more on the 6 river, prompting Runcan to fire again. A stack of chips, around 650,000 worth, had barely touched the felt before Pflock made the call.

Runcan snap-mucked and Pflock returned his cards face down and scooped in a sizable pot.

Volzhan Finds Hero Call on the River

Level 29 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Action folded around to Valentin Schramm who called in the small blind. Edwin Volzhan checked his option.

Schramm led for 80,000 on the Q104 flop. Volzhan called. Schramm led again, this time sizing up to 205,000 on the A turn. Volzhan called once more after a moments thought.

Schramm fired again for 400,000. Volzhan went deep into the tank, with numerous players on neighbouring tables up on their feet waiting for the three table redraw.

Eventually he found the call. Schramm showed J9 for a missed straight draw and Volzhan showed K3 for bottom pair which was good enough to win the pot.
