Nedelcu's Kicker Falls Short: Koller Sends Him to the Rail

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Narcis Nedelcu
Narcis Nedelcu

Narcis Nedelcu got the action rolling with a raise to 2,800 from the button, prompting Ran Koller to respond with a three-bet to 10,500. Nedelcu didn't back down and called.

The flop came down 2A6, and Koller led out with a bet of 6,000. Nedelcu was in no mood to fold and called again.

When the 7 hit the turn, Koller increased his aggression with a bet of 12,500, and once more, Nedelcu called, sticking with the hand.

The river brought the 4, and Koller went all in, putting Nedelcu's tournament life on the line. Uneasy about how the hand had unfolded, Nedelcu made the call. Koller revealed AK, showing top pair with a king kicker, while Nedelcu turned over A3, boasting a pair of aces but with a weaker kicker. Unfortunately for him, that meant he was heading to the rail.

Straight Surprise Sends Ilani to the Rail

Level 11 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Patrick Baranyai
Patrick Baranyai

With 27,900 already sitting in the pot and the board showing 74106, Ran Ilani decided to check to Patrick Baranyai. Seizing the moment, Baranyai fired out a bet of 13,000, but Ilani wasn’t going anywhere—he went all-in. After asking the dealer to count his stack, which came to 40,900, Baranyai eventually made the call, and it was time to showdown.

Ilani proudly showed his QQ, thinking he had a solid top pair, but Baranyai turned over 43, revealing he had a pair of fours and a gutshot straight draw. He needed a three, four, or five to pull ahead.

As the dealer flipped over the river card, a 5 popped up, giving Baranyai the straight he needed! Ilani was left stunned, realizing he had just been knocked out of the tournament. Shaking his head in disbelief, he walked away from the table, still processing what had just happened.

Siwicki Wants Anzio to Show

Level 12 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Action was picked up on the river of J4QA9 where Adam Siwicki was facing a shove of 90,000 from Eden Anzio. Siwicki had checked from the small blind and Anzio put him all in from the big blind.

"Will you show me if I fold and show you, sir?" asked Siwicki. His question fell on deaf ears as Anzio had his headphones on.

Siwicki attempted to ask again but gained no response again. Eventually he found the fold and flashed Anzio the 4.

Siwicki asked once more to which Anzio replied "not this time mate" as he raked in the pot.
