Level 34 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Jan Kohl
Jan Kohl

Heger Sare raised to 500,000 on the button as Jan Kohl turned around to see what was happening on the other table before committing his last 715,000 in the small blind. Sare called.

Jan Kohl: Q10 All in
Heger Sare: A5

The flop came J84, while the 9 turn gave Kohl the nut straight. The 4 completed the board on the river and Kohl doubled up.

The next hand, Robert Dascalescu raised to 625,000 under the gun, Kohl again shoved for 1,930,000, and Dascalescu snap-called.

Jan Kohl: AA All in
Robert Dascalescu: AQ

Dascalescu shook his head when Kohl turned over his two aces. The last one in the deck fell on the A54 flop, while Kohl improved to a full house on the 4 turn. The 10 river secured him yet another double up.

Michal Szczeblewski raised to 600,000 under the gun before Cheng Zhao moved all in for 700,000 in the cutoff. Bogdan Roman then reshoved for 2,700,000 on the button, and Szczeblewski used two time banks before folding KJ.

Cheng Zhao: 1010 All in
Bogdan Roman: KK

Zhao had run into Roman's kings, and the A92J5 board offered no help as he was sent to the rail in 10th place.

Vagke Sagkinian Eliminated in 9th Place (€19,782)

Level 35 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Vagke Sagkinian
Vagke Sagkinian

Vagke Sagkinian raised from early position to 850,000 and Sarah Link three-bet shoved from the big blind. Sagkinian had 4,425,000 total in his stack and took around a minute before he called.

Vagke Sagkinian: AK All in
Sarah Link: AA

Link had the bullets, and Sagkinian's hand wasn't the kind needed to crack aces. The situation for Sagkinian went from bad to worse on the 662 flop as only runner kings or sixes could save him. A 108 runout didn't provide that miracle, and Sagkinian was out in ninth.

Stepan Budac opened to 600,000 from middle position and Tudor Zapsa three-bet to 1,800,000 from the small blind. Bogdan Roman was in the big blind and shoved for 4,450,000, which got Budac to quickly fold. Zapsa snap-called.

Bogdan Roman: AK All in
Tudor Zapsa: KK

Roman had run into a premium, but did have hope with his ace. A flop of QQ4 didn't offer much in the way of assistance, but a little help arrived on the 10 turn in the form of a gutshot. However, the 9 river was a brick, and Roman was out in eighth.

Vittek Rivers Two Pair Against Zapsa

Martin Vittek
Martin Vittek

Tudor Zapsa opened K10 from the hijack to 800,000 and Martin Vittek called on the button holding QJ. Sarah Link was in the big blind and called with 82.

The flop of Q3K connected with both Zapsa and Vittek, which prompted the latter to bet 1,100,000 once it checked to him. Link folded, and Zapsa called.

A 5 fell on the turn and both players checked to the J river, which gave Vittek two pair. Zapsa checked and then Vittek went for a value bet of 1,225,000. Zapsa, with his top pair, took some time before he called, and then mucked when he saw the two pair of his opponent.

Jan Kohl

Sarah Link raised to 1,000,000 in early position with JJ and Martin Vittek defended 54. Link continued for 800,000 on the 988 flop, and Vittek snap-folded.

Heger Sare, who had been fairly quiet at the final table so far, finally emerged with a preflop shove for 4,400,000 in early position with QJ, taking down the blinds and ante.

Tudor Zapsa then raised to 1,000,000 in the hijack and Jan Kohl burned a time bank before moving all in for 3,900,000 in the cutoff. Stepan Budac also tanked for a minute until calling, while Zapsa got out of the way.

Jan Kohl: AJ All in
Stepan Budac: 99

Kohl was racing for his tournament life as the flop came 1054. The K turn gave him more outs with a straight draw, and he spiked the Q on the river to make his straight and double up, leaving Budac with less than two big blinds.

Tudor Zapsa raised to 1,000,000 under the gun before Heger Sare moved all in for 4,150,000 in the small blind. Michal Szczeblewski was in the big blind and tanked for a few minutes, using several time banks, before folding 88. Zapsa, though, quickly called.

Heger Sare: AA All in
Tudor Zapsa: AK

Sare had woken up with aces and was a big favorite to double up. The flop came Q75, while the K turn gave Zapsa some hope. Sare, standing by the rail with his supporters, watched as the 4 fell on the river to give him the double up followed by a round of high-fives.

Kohl Calls Down Link With Ace-High

Level 37 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Jan Kohl raised to 1,000,000 under the gun and Sarah Link called in the cutoff.

The 964 flop was checked through, and Kohl also checked the 7 turn. Link then bet 1,000,000 and Kohl called.

Kohl checked for a third time on the 8 river and Link bet 1,500,000. Kohl used a few time banks before calling, and Link showed QJ for a bluff. Kohl turned over AK to win the pot and take the chip lead into the break.

Kohl Rivers Quads and Cracks Vittek's Flopped Boat

Level 38 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Jan Kohl
Jan Kohl

Martin Vittek raised to 1,300,000 from under the gun and Jan Kohl defended from the big blind.

Both checked the QQ7 flop to the 3 turn, where again they checked. A Q fell on the river and after Kohl checked, Vittek bet 1,500,000. Kohl then made it 4,000,000, and Vittek snap-called.

Kohl then revealed quads with Q2, and Vittek flashed 77 as he mucked.

Slow-playing his full house has surely saved Vittek from the rail there.
