Kohl on the Ropes
Level 34
: Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Tudor Zapsa opened from under the gun to 500,000 and Jan Kohl defended the big blind.
On the 7♦10♠Q♥ flop, Kohl check-called a bet of 325,000 from Zapsa to the 7♣ turn, where both checked.
A 6♥ dropped on the river and after Kohl checked, Zapsa reached for chips and threw in a bet of 1,000,000. With only two time banks remaining, Kohl used one before he called and revealed 10♣9♦ for a pair of tens.
Zapsa then showed he had that beat with a pair of kings holding K♦Q♣, which earned him the pot and left Kohl with just three big blinds.
