Jan Bendik moved all in for 480,000 on the button and Andrii Kosak called in early position.
Jan Bendik: A♥10♠
Andrii Kosak: A♠Q♠
Kosak had Bendik dominated and was poised for the knockout until the flop brought 10♥5♠K♥, giving Bendik the lead with a pair of tens. The 9♠ turn gave Kosak a flush draw, but he missed the 2♣ river and Bendik doubled up.
Amiel Gamliel moved all in for 650,000 from the cutoff and Bogdan Roman called in the small blind.
Amiel Gamliel: A♣A♦
Bogdan Roman: A♠K♣
Gamliel had woken up with aces and was poised to double up as the flop came 7♥2♣7♣. The Q♥ turn left Roman drawing dead, while the Q♠ river sealed the pot for Gamliel.
"We stay here!" he shouted out, slamming the table in celebration and raising his arms in the air.
Darius Neagoe opened from the hijack, and Den Girshberg defended from the big blind.
The flop came 3♦3♠A♠, which both players checked to the 9♠ turn. A bet and a shove later, Girshberg's stack of around 550,000 was in the middle and at risk, with no chance of winning the hand.
Den Girshberg: A♣8♦
Darius Neagoe: A♥A♦
Neagoe had flopped top boat and made a deceptive flop check, which made Girshberg believe he had the best hand. The chips were most likely going in anyway, and after the 10♦ hit the river, Girshberg was sent on his way while Neagoe climbed to nearly 2,000,000.
Nikolaos Valtatzis raised to 360,000 in middle position and Bogdan Roman called in the big blind. Roman went to turn over his cards before the dealer alerted him that Valtatzis still had 10,000 behind.
The flop came K♥3♥10♣ and Roman flicked in the chips to put Valtatzis all in. Valtatzis took a peek at the tournament clock, then called off his last chips.
Nikolaos Valtatzis: A♥K♦
Bogdan Roman: 4♦4♥
Valtatzis had flopped top pair to take the lead, but the 4♠ fell on the turn to give Roman a set. The river was the 5♥ and Valtatzis was sent to the rail.
Frank Schuler moved all in for 420,000 from under the gun and Cheng Zhao called in the hijack.
Frank Schuler: A♦K♠
Cheng Zhao: 10♠10♦
The two players found themselves in a race situation, and Zhao remained in the lead on the 9♥5♥2♣ flop. The 10♣ turn improved him to a set, and Schuler was already drawing dead before the 2♠ river improved Zhao to a full house to score the knockout.
Around 800,000 was already in the middle as Heger Sare and Pablo Heredia went to the turn on a board of 10♣Q♠Q♦J♥. Sare then bet 405,000 from the button and Heredia called in the hijack.
The river was the 4♠ and Sare moved all in. Heredia agonized over the decision for several minutes before calling for his last 450,000.
Sare turned over A♦K♣ for a straight, and Heredia tossed A♣A♥ into the muck on his way to the exit.
Two hands in quick succession just ended the run of Daniel Skipper.
First, Vladimir Martynov shoved the hijack for 535,000 and Skipper put in the call from the big blind.
Vladimir Martynov: 6♠6♥
Daniel Skipper: K♣J♣
The flop of 2♠4♣3♣ triggered Skipper to let out an early celebration as he clenched his fist in delight, only to realize that he hadn't flopped a flush. He did still have plenty of outs, but the early claim of the pot angered the poker gods as the runout of 10♥7♠ meant Martynov doubled up.
In the very next hand, Skipper got to the turn from the small blind on a board of 9♦8♥3♥A♣ and bet 130,000, only for Sarah Link to raise to 300,000 from the big blind. Skipper three-bet to 600,000, Link shoved, and Skipper called off the 500,000 he had behind.
Daniel Skipper: A♠3♠
Sarah Link: A♦8♣
Both players had turned two pair, but it was Skipper that needed help as he was way behind. A 10♣ on the river sealed his fate, as Link's stack rocketed up to around 4,000,000.
Robin Meyer bet 250,000 from the big blind on a flop of 10♦6♥2♥ before Ignazio De Rosa moved all in for 800,000 in middle position. Vagke Sagkinian then reshoved for 1,300,000 in the hijack, and Meyer called to put both players at risk.
Ignazio De Rosa: Q♣Q♥
Vagke Sagkinian: A♣A♦
Robin Meyer: A♥9♥
Sagkinian was ahead with his aces, but he needed to dodge Meyer's nut flush draw as they both took out their phones to capture the action. The turn was the 3♦, while the 5♠ river was safe for Sagkinian to scoop the entire pot. He doubled up off Meyer, while De Rosa was sent to the rail.
