Shuts Departs; Javakhishvili Triples
The action escalated over on table 40 and Vakhtang Javakhishvili was somewhat confused when Maksim Shuts left the table with his cards in the muck, while the board was still showing K♦J♣2♣7♥5♣.
"You fold?" he asked several times but the other players at the table pointed out that Shuts had called with what appeared to be QxJx7x7x for a turned pair of sevens without a flush draw according to Javier Francort. Dusan Despotovic was the one to collect the chips with K♠K♥10♥3♣ for a set of kings.
One hand later, Javakhishvili raised the pot to 42,000 and Jaroslav Peter called. Javier Francort reraised the pot and Javakhishvili called all-in for 142,000, Peter called Francort's repot.
The two active players checked down the entire board of K♣7♦4♣5♣9♣ and Javakhishvili announced kings before showing his A♥A♣K♥K♠. Neither of the larger stacks could beat that and Peter won the small side pot with K♥J♠10♦7♥, as Francort only had the A♠Q♦10♣3♠.
