Sarvendran Has Kicker Problems

Kumaran Sarvendran made it 20,000 from early position and only Ermanno Di Nicola called from the big blind.

Sarvendran checked to Nicola on the A♥4♣A♠ flop and Nicola bet 10,000. Sarvendran check-raised to 35,000 and Nicola called.

Sarvendran jammed for Nicola's remaining 90,000 upon seeing the 4♠ roll off on the turn. Nicola called and the players went to a showdown.

Ermanno Di Nicola: A♦K♥10♥3♠ All in
Kumaran Sarvendran: A♣J♣J♦6♣

Both players had trips, but it was Nicola's king-kicker that had him in front. The Q♥ river didn't change anything and Nicola doubled up.
