Dream River Keeps Zizka Alive
Level 23
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Zdenek Zizka made it 175,000 on the button and Renji Mao called from the big blind.
Mao bet 225,000 on the 4♠9♥7♥ flop, which was for all of Zizka's stack. ZIzka rechecked his cards and thought for almost a minute, before electing to slide the rest of his chips into the middle and call.
Zdenek Zizka: A♦10♥10♠2♦
Renji Mao: J♦J♥10♣5♦
Both players held overpairs, and it was Mao's pair of jacks that were currently in the lead.
The 5♥ turn gave Zizka some extra outs in the form of a gutshot straight draw. The dealer burned a card and peeled off the case 10♦ on the river, giving Zizka a set of tens. Mao shook his head in disbelief as he had to send some of his stack over to Zizka.
