In a limped pot, Dario Alioto in the small blind and Renji Mao in the big blind checked a flop of 5♦4♣6♥. Alioto bet 100,000 on the 8♠ turn and was called, then asked for 100,000 again on the K♥ river.
Mao seemed very tempted to call, but wisely folded.
"Discipline," Alioto said.
In the next hand, Alioto on the button bet 125,000 on a flop of Q♣10♣Q♦ but Grzegorz Derkowski in the big blind check-raised to 410,000. Alioto went into the tank and eventually made the call.
Both players checked the K♣ turn, and the 10♠ river didn't bring more action.
"Straight," Derkowski said while flipping over J♦9♦7♠6♠. Alioto revealed A♣Q♥7♣2♦ for a flush and scooped the pot.
