Leah Calls It Down
Level 9
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
The pot was around 18,500 with the flop showing J♣9♥J♠. Michael Leah, in the big blind, checked to Ting-Yi Tsai on the button, who bet 6,000. Leah responded with a raise to 18,000, and Tsai made the call.
Leah kept up the pressure on the 3♣ turn with a bet of 27,500, and Tsai called again.
When the 10♥ hit the river, Leah checked. Tsai took a moment before moving all in. Leah counted his stack and, once done, made the call, sending the hand to showdown. Tsai tabled A♦Q♦ for ace high with the board pair, while Leah showed K♠9♦ for two pair, enough to win the pot.
“Huh, nice call,” Tsai said.
