Butuc Gets There on the Turn
Level 21
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Vlada Stojanovic opened to 55,000 from middle position. Gheorghe Butuc then three-bet to 310,000, leaving himself just 10,000 behind. Vladislav Donchev called from the big blind, and Stojanovic got out of the way.
The last 10,000 went in on the 10♦J♣8♥ flop, and Donchev made the call.
Gheorghe Butuc: K♦Q♠
Vladislav Donchev: A♦J♦
The A♠ on the turn completed the straight for Butuc, and the 9♦ on the river did not change anything, allowing him to double up.
