Duarte Busts Against Zhu
Hengtao Zhu kicked things off from late position with a raise to 125,000. Diogo Duarte on the button three-bet to 875,000, leaving just 2,000 behind. Zhu called, thinking Duarte had gone all in.
The flop came J♠A♠K♣, and Zhu, first to act, put 3,000 into the middle to cover Duarte’s tiny remaining stack. Duarte used three time bank cards before realizing he couldn’t stall any longer; the next pay jump was just two players away. He made the call, and the cards went on their backs.
Diogo Duarte: 9♥9♦
Hengtao Zhu: Q♣Q♠
No help came on the 4♠ turn or the 4♣ river, and Duarte was sent to the rail, leaving Zhu with a sizable pot.
Before Duarte, Xu Hang had busted on another table, and shortly after, Mahmoud Bedoui followed them out, narrowing the field even further.
