Sheils Pulls a Big River Play Against Zhu
Level 25
: Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
The pot was around 400,000 when the flop came J♥Q♥2♦. Brandon Sheils, first to act from middle position, checked to Hengtao Zhu in the cutoff, who fired 100,000. Sheils called.
Both players checked the A♣ turn.
On the A♠ river, Sheils led with a 75,000 bet, only to see Zhu raise to 800,000. Sheils didn’t back down and pushed it to 2,750,000, forcing Zhu to fold.
Sheils flashed Q♠J♠ as he scooped the pot.
