Mandavia Outlasts Stewart

mnuwwarah • Level 23: 15,000-25,000, 25,000 ante
Scott Stewart

Ankush Mandavia three-bet shoved nearly all of his chips button versus under the gun, with Ray Qartomy having opened. Qartomy put in a call worth 320,000 and they took a {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop. Qartomy put the last crumbs in but Mandavia, seeing an all-in develop at the other table, began tanking.

At that table, Scott Stewart had put in all but his last crumbs, 275,000, and Sung Hyun called. That flop came {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Stewart began tanking.

Eventually, the tournament director put Mandavia on a clock and said he was counting these situations as the same hand. Mandavia called with {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} and was a bit behind the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} of Qartomy. However, he hit running two pair.

Stewart was less lucky. He was ahead with {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} against {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} but the board ran {j-Hearts}, {7-Hearts} to make Hyun a straight.

Right after that, Erik Cajelais joined them in line.
