Wynn Poker
Wynn Poker

The 2022 Wynn Summer Classic kicked off back on May 31 and now less than a week remains!

This year's Wynn Summer Classic wconsisted of dozens of events with buy-ins ranging from $500 to $5,500, including poker variants like Pot-Limit Omaha, Limit Omaha 8 or Better, H.O.R.S.E. and 8-Game Mix. The series will offer over $15.8 million in guaranteed prize money, including seven events with guarantees reaching seven figures.

Right now, the $1,600 Mystery Bounty — the last of multiple bounty events — is taking place and offering up a massive guarantee of $1.5 million. There are three separate starting flights, and PokerNews will bring you info and chip counts from each. We will then pick up traditional live updates on Day 2, which is when the bounty component kicks in, on Saturday, July 16.

The series will close out on July 18 with $500 Casino Employee Mystery Bounty, a two-day event with two starting flights and $100,000 in guaranteed prize money.

Stoenescu Binks Top Bounty

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Andrei Stoenescu
Andrei Stoenescu

The first of three $100,000 bounties is off the table as Andrei Stoenescu just pulled one of the coveted envelopes out of the drum. He jumped up and down in excitement as he was handed an enormous (in more than one sense of the word) cardboard check.

When asked what he was going to do with the money, Stoenescu said "there's still two bounties to go". In any event, he cannot be too disappointed if he ends up taking only one of the top bounties home to Romania.

Lucas Blanco from Madrid got ready to draw his first bounty and reacted excitedly as he pulled the $50,000. His friend embraced him as he pumped his fist.

But he had another one to draw and lo and behold it was a $25,000 as he did a little bit of a dance to celebrate pulling $75,000 with just two envelopes.

Marder Felts Prager

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Michael Marder
Michael Marder

A player on the button opened to 50,000 and Michael Marder moved all in out of the small blind. Josh Prager then called with the shorter stack in the big blind to put himself at risk while the button player folded.

Josh Prager: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Michael Marder: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Prager was flipping for his tournament life while Marder was looking to score a big pot and a shot at a $100,000 bounty. Marder pulled into a commanding lead following the {3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop and stayed ahead on the {7-Diamonds} turn and {5-Hearts} river to get the knockout, though he told the table he will wait until the next break to pull his bounty.

Kerri Rivers Bohmerwald Out

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Prabhakar Kerri
Prabhakar Kerri

There was a large pot of about 445,000 in the middle and the flop reading {8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Michael Boherwald slid forward a bet of 340,000. Prabhakar Kerri jammed all in and Bohmerwald called.

Bohmerwald had the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} which was ahead of Kerri's {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The turn was the {5-Hearts} but the river was cruel as the {9-Clubs} came off to bust Bohmerwald and give Kerri the big time pot.
