Who Will Come Out on Top in the $3,500 Main Event at the Wynn Millions?

Trophy
Trophy

Welcome to the last and final day of the $3,500 Wynn Millions Main Event here at the beautiful Wynn Las Vegas. A total of 1,314 entries joined the field over three starting flights and after five action-packed days of poker, only nine players remain in the hunt for Wynn Millions glory.

Once the dust settled on Day 5, Zachary Donovan bagged the top stack with 11,775,000 in chips. Donovan, who is now a Las Vegas local, said he primarily plays cash games around the area as well as most of the major tournament events in the city. Donovan has close to $2.2 Million in earnings and with his largest score being just over $260,000, will look to smash that record with the $654,637 top-prize.

Donovan will definitely have his work cut out with the likes of Pedro Ingles (7,175,000), Andrew Esposito (6,175,000), and Jacob Powers (6,075,000) close on his heels.

All nine players have locked up a guarantee pay-day of at least $67,765, but will have their sights set on the lion's share of the $4,171,950 prize pool. Action kicks off today at Noon and blinds will resume at Level 30 with 100,000/200,000 and a 200,000 big blind ante. There will be a 15-minute break at the end of each 90-minute level and depending on how long the day goes, could be a dinner break added in. The action should speed up some with the average stack being just under 30 big blinds.

Cliff Ziff
Cliff Ziff

In the second hand of Day 6, Cliff Ziff opened to 500,000 from under the gun and it folded to Andrew Esposito in the big blind who, after close to a minute, moved all in. Ziff snap-called for his last 5,300,000 total and was the player at risk.

Cliff Ziff: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Andrew Esposito: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

It was a coin-flip situation and when the board ran out {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, the ace river fell like a ton of bricks for Ziff who was sent to the rail in ninth place.

Kharlin Sued
Kharlin Sued

The action folded around to Andrew Esposito in the cutoff who opened for 450,000 and Kharlin Sued moved all in from the small blind for his last 1,050,000 total. Esposito shrugged before eventually making the call to put Sued at risk.

Kharlin Sued: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Andrew Esposito: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Sued was ahead but would need to dodge the live cards for Esposito and when the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, things got even more sweaty for Sued as Esposito picked up a straight flush draw. The {9-Diamonds} hit the river to give Esposito the money card to make a straight flush and eliminate Sued in eighth place.

Zhigang Yang
Zhigang Yang

Mark Zajdner opened to 425,000 in middle position and Zhigang Yang shoved all in for 1,700,000 out of the small blind. Zajdner asked for a count and then announced that he "couldn't fold" as he stuck in the chips to call.

Zhigang Yang: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Mark Zajdner: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The flop of {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} was safe for Yang who was looking to stay alive with a double-up. However, the {j-Hearts} on the turn gave Zajdner a wealth of outs and the {7-Hearts} on the river completed his flush to eliminate Yang.

Zachary Donovan raised to 575,000 from the hijack and Mark Zajdner counted out a three-bet to 1,700,000 from the big blind. Donovan four-bet shoved all in and Zajdner instantly called off his stack of 6,225,000.

Mark Zajdner: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Zachary Donovan: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

It was a cold deck for Donovan who was up against the preflop nuts from Zajdner. The board ran out {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Spades} and Zajdner scored a big double-up. He ran around the poker room and even stopped at the $2/$5 cash game to tell anyone who cared.

The action folded to Michael Rossitto in the small blind who opened to 700,000. Pedro Ingles in the big blind took a moment to count his stack before moving all in for 4,800,000 and Rossitto snap-called to put Ingles at risk.

Pedro Ingles: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Michael Rossitto: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Ingles was in need of help against the better ace for Rossitto, and when the board ran out {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, it was the end of the road for Ingles as he was eliminated in fourth place.

Andrew Esposito
Andrew Esposito

Andrew Esposito opened to 650,000 on the button and Mark Zajdner three-bet to 2,200,000 in the small blind. Michael Rossitto quickly folded and after some thought, Esposito made the call.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Zajdner continued for 3,000,000. Esposito pondered for a moment before moving all in for 9,575,000 and was snap-called by Zajdner with the slightly bigger stack.

Andrew Esposito: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Mark Zajdner: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

It was the ultimate cooler for Zajdner to run into the only better pair than his, and when the board ran out {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}, it was the aces that held up to score a massive double up for Esposito and leave Zajdner very short.

Mark Zajdner: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Michael Rossitto: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

It was a fair fight preflop, but when the board ran out {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}, it was the flopped ace for Rossitto that scored the huge pot and sent Zajdner to the payout desk in third place.
