A lifelong aficionado of the casino industry, Geoff Paul began playing hold'em during the poker boom of 2003 while attending McNeese State University in Louisiana. He moved to the Dallas, Texas area in 2022.

Prior to reporting for PokerNews, Geoff worked in casino operations for fifteen years and corporate banking for two. He also served as Tournament Director for several charity poker events across the state of Louisiana.

When not covering or playing poker, Geoff is an avid pro wrestling fan and proud cat dad to a calico named Wilda.
