Hero Call Hits O'Shea in the Face

Things just got really, really, really interesting at Table 31. But I mean: Really interesting. We missed the pre flop action, but hey, the fireworks started after that anyway. The flop read {3-Spades} {4-Spades} {2-Hearts} when a floor person brought us up to speed with the bet sizes as the dealer put out the turn. O'Shea, who was in the big blind, had bet 35,000 and from the button Daniel Idema raised to 75,000. O'Shea made the call.

The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and O'Shea checked to the 2011 WSOP $10,000 Limit Hold'em champion who bet 125,000. O'Shea tanked for a bit and finally ending up calling.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and O'Shea checked once again. "I'm all-in", Idema announced as O'Shea went deep into the tank. "Count please?" O'Shea asked after 30 seconds, and Idema's stack was counted down to 363,000 chips. If O'Shea would call and lose he would be left with exactly the same amount making this the biggest pot we have seen today. After tanking for over two minutes O'Shea announced the call and Idema shook his head as he got up from his chair. The Canadian flipped over {5-Diamonds} {5-Spades} and he got ready to leave the tournament. Things couldn't have been more different as O'Shea sighed and mucked his cards.
