In the very next hand after doubling JC Alvarado, Mike "Timex" McDonald raised from the cutoff only to have Dan Smith three-bet to 295,000 from the small blind. After the big got out of the way, McDonald moved all in and Smith made a quick call.

flop was more bad news for McDonald as Smith picked up a flush draw, but the 
turn did give him some hope to a Broadway straight. Unfortunately for him, the 
river would not complete it. With that, McDonald exited in fifth place for €215,100 while Smith raked in the pot and now sits on nearly half the chips in play.
