We caught up with Rob Voigt recently, a recreational player who made a splash at last summer's World Series of Poker. Voigt didn't win a bracelet during poker's premier festival, but jewelry did play a major part in his story.

Voigt proposed to his fiancé Cecilia on the Rio's main stage, with a packed house of poker pros standing by as witnesses. The scene was a special one within the often gritty world of tournament poker, showing that there is always so much more to life than flops and folds.

Rob took a shot here on Day 1b, ultimately falling short just before the re-entry period concluded. His better half, however, has persevered despite riding a short stack for much of the day, and she is still in contention late in the evening.

What makes Cecilia's performance even more impressive is that she's not doing it alone: the couple recently found out that they are expecting their first child. About eight weeks along now, Cecilia has been coping with the usual symptoms all mothers have suffered through during pregnancy, but despite the occasional bout of nausea and fatigue, she has weathered the storm to build a respectable stack late in the day.

With a wedding date set for May 11th, and a baby on the way in about seven months, this poker pair is set to become three of a kind. And with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool up for grabs, both are hoping to make a life-changing score here at the Borgata Spring Poker Open.
