Daniel Negreanu Newest Member of Team PokerStars 0001

Toronto native, current Las Vegas resident and 'Big Game' regular Daniel Negreanu has decided to join the biggest online poker site, signing with PokerStars in a deal announced today. 'Kid Poker' becomes the latest addition to Team PokerStars, joining a handful of the game's largest names including three of the last four WSOP Main Event winners, Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer and Joe Hachem.

The popular and personable Negreanu burst onto the poker scene in 1997, earning back-to-back World Poker titles at Foxwoods, and has also captured Player of the Year honors (2004) and earned three WSOP bracelets to date. Negreanu is on one of the busiest playing schedules at the '07 WSOP in hopes of adding to that bracelet count.

"I've enjoyed a long personal relationship with the folks at PokerStars since the company's founding in 2001 and have always felt as though PokerStars fully understood what players wanted: lots of tournaments, lots of variety and great software," said Negreanu, about the signing. "The organization seems like the perfect fit for me and I'm glad they feel the same way."

Team PokerStars member Barry Greenstein welcomed Negreanu to the site's roster of pro endorsers. "Daniel embodies what poker and PokerStars are all about: enjoying the excitement and the challenge of poker," said Greenstein. "Daniel is a true ambassador of the sport and we welcome him to the Team as well as all of his players and fans from Full Contact Poker. We know they will enjoy the PokerStars experience." Negreanu's devoted fan base at Full Contact Poker no doubt added to his appeal for Stars, which lands one of the game's biggest stars with the signing.
