Also reaching Day 2 was partypoker pro Kara Scott, while fellow pro Jamie Kerstetter hit the rail.

According to the WPT Live Updates Team, Kerstetter moved all in with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} only to run into an opponent's {k-}{k-}. The pocket kings held up, and Kerstetter was knocked out.

Darko Stojanovic, Jan Bendik, and David Vamplew also fell on Day 1b. Stojanovic attempted a triple-barrel bluff then was eliminated with an inferior straight, while Vamplew moved all in with {a-}{j-} on a completed board of {q-}{q-}{5-}{4-}{a-}. Eros Nastasi called with {a-}{q-}, and the Scot hit the rail.

Day 1b attracted 92 entrants, bringing the total field size to 143. Registration is open until the start of Day 2 (14:30 local time), and the WPT will release the prize pool information shortly thereafter.

PokerNews will bring you a recap of the action upon the completion of Day 2.
