Partypoker to Host Largest Event in Over a Year This Sunday 0001

On Sunday, May 11, partypoker.com will hold its largest event in over a year when it increases the guarantee of its Sunday Major from $200,000 to $500,000. The $200 buy-in tournament, which is being called the "$500K Guaranteed Special Event," will take place at 14:00 ET (20:00 CET) and guarantees a minimum first-place prize of $100,000.

Partypoker will also host a $5 buy-in 100-seat guarantee Mega Satellite at 10:30 ET (16:30 CET) that Sunday. For those who prefer to buy-in directly for $200, there will also be a $500 bonus in addition to any winnings made. The $500 bonuses will be paid on May 12 to all players who qualify. Bonuses will be released at a rate of $50 for every 250 points earned over 30 days.

There are also a significant number of super-satellites and freerolls for players wanting in on the action. New customers to partypoker will receive 5 x $1 qualifier tickets upon making a first deposit. These tickets can be used on any $500,000 guaranteed qualifier meaning it is possible to get in for free.

“This $500,000 guaranteed Special Event marks the largest guaranteed tournament to take place at partypoker.com for more than a year,” said Team partypoker’s Marvin Rettenmaier. “While the mega satellite on Sunday offers great value for new players – gotta love super-flat payout structures like that - the direct buy-in option is very grinder-friendly! It’s the kind of offer I haven’t seen at partypoker.com for a while, as anybody who enters the tournament this way is offered a $500 bonus - potentially 40% rakeback for 30 days.”

Registration for the $500K guaranteed Special Event will remain open until the end of Level 9 (each level is 20 minutes, so late registration will be open for three hours).
