On Friday, Jason Koon joined Sarah Grant and the Global Poker Index’s Eric Danis for a Google Hangout to answer reader’s questions and discuss health and nutrition among other things.
The question of the summer is one Grant has been asking every player: “What are your thoughts on Daniel Colman declining media after his One Drop win?” Koon, a friend of Colman, provided a politically correct response saying, “I think he has really high integrity for one.” Koon continued by saying, “Regardless if you agree with his decision, I can assure you that he did it because he thought it was morally the best decision he could make.”
Aside from the Big One for One Drop controversy, Koon also weighed in on other online players including 2013 November Niner David "Raptor" Benefield and roommate Ben "Bttech86" Tollerene. "Everyone knows he’s (Tollerene) arguably one of the best players in the world." He went on to say, "He’s very self aware and understands weaknesses. With him, there’s no ego."
All seriousness aside, the real fun began when we set up an impromptu pushup contest between Koon and "All American" Dave Swanson as part of a pre-planned "run-in." How many were they able to do, and who won? You can watch that along with the rest of the conversation below.
