As players get ready to welcome the first "shuffle up and deal" of the PokerNews Cup at the Montesino Casino in Vienna, PokerNews is proud to announce yet another chapter in the history of its own live poker series.
The sixth edition of the PokerNews Cup will run from February 4-9, 2015, and it will be held at the King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
The series will feature an exciting €200,000 GTD Main Event with an accessible €250 buy-in, and will also include an €85 buy-in €5,000 GTD PokerNews Cooldown and a pot-limit Omaha event with a €10,000 guarantee.
"Since its foundation in 2002, PokerNews has covered live poker events from nearly every corner of the globe," said iBus Media and PokerNews CEO Jon Squires.
"The experience we have matured throughout the years allowed us to understand the industry like no other and also understand what poker players look for in a poker tournament.
"The sixth edition of the PokerNews Cup is going to be an amazing event. For a very low buy-in, the series will offer every participant the unique opportunity to sit at the tables for some top poker action, compete for a significant guaranteed prize pool and enjoy the great exposure that only a global poker media as PokerNews can offer."
And that's not all. As in any other edition of the PokerNews Cup, the one held in Rozvadov will offer everyone the opportunity to socialize and enjoy a non-formal yet professional poker event.
"All this said, the PokerNews Cup will be a great chance for all our visitors to discover an excellent venue as the King’s Casino and for us to finally meet and greet many of our loyal readers," Squires concluded.
The owner of King's Casino Leon Tsoukernik also welcomed the new cooperation between PokerNews and his room. "We are extremely proud to bring an event like the PokerNews Cup to the King's Casino," Tsoukernik said.
"PokerNews is a true industry leader, and over the years it has given a great contribution to shape the poker industry and make poker become the global phenomenon it is today," Tsoukernik continued.
"Like PokerNews, also at King’s Casino we strive for excellence. By coming to the PokerNews Cup, players will get the chance to discover one of Europe's best casinos with cash tables and casino games running round-the-clock."
