From February 16-22, 2015, the PPC Poker Tour (PPC) will be at the Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park in Florida for the 2015 PPC Isle Casino Winter Series, a seven-day series with guarantees in excess of $300,000.
"Our tour started in South Florida and the Isle was instrumental in the launch of our inaugural PPC Aruba event in 2012," said PPC Commissioner Sandy Swartzbaugh. "The Isle has been an industry leader for years. Just 10 minutes from our corporate office, the PPC Poker Tour is excited to add our home casino for two events in 2015. The players that helped us build the tour are in the area and we are excited to give them a series that is close to home."
The four-event series will culminate with a $250,000 guarantee Main Event with a $350 buy-in from Wednesday, Feb. 18 through Sunday, Feb. 22. That tournament will feature eight Day 1 flights that will be held twice a day at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Players can play as many as they’d like and carry their largest stack into Day 2. The fields will then combine on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. to play down to a champion. In addition, the top 10 finishers will be awarded $5,000 PPC Aruba World Championship packages.
"The Isle is excited to partner up with the very popular PPC Poker Tour," said Rob Wyre, VP and General Manager of Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park. "We have watched the PPC grow over the past few years and their strong following throughout Florida is impressive. We look forward to a very successful series."
As mentioned, the PPC Isle Casino Winter Series will qualify players for the 2015 PPC Aruba World Championship, a 1,700 buy-in, $250,000 Guarantee Main Event that will run from Nov. 1-8, 2015. If you recall, Aristoteles Neto turned a $65 Foxwoods satellite into $62,764 by capturing the 2014 PPC Aruba title.
