888Live Local Returns to Aspers Casino for Third Time in Series from May 29-31
Back in January, online poker provider 888poker, the fastest growing online poker brand in the industry, launched 888Live, a local live series designed to bring the excitement of 888poker’s live experience to players around the world. The events, which feature affordable buy-ins ranging from €200-€400, are based at a selection of local casinos in countries such as Spain, Czech Republic, UK, Croatia, Cyprus, Slovenia Canada and Australia.
From May 29-31, 888Live will host its 10th Local event, which will be the third time a Live Local Event will be held at London’s Aspers Casino, Westfield. The inaugural event sold out with over 600 entries and featured a prize pool that more than doubled the £125,000 guarantee.
The latest event boasts a £50,000 guaranteed prize pool and is expected to host more than 400 players from around the world.
"Our most popular tournament of the year returns to our Casino, and this time we hope it will be bigger and better," said John Scanlon, Head of Poker at Aspers. "Our partnership with 888poker and our drive and commitment to provide players with the best product possible, meant it was an easy decision for Aspers to re-host this new series of UK events. Players loved the last event so much that we exceeded the 500 player cap by 119 entries to generate a massive GBP 122,562 prize pool."
For those interested in attending the series, 888poker is offering their players the chance to win seats via online satellites with buy-ins as little as 1₵.
