Borgata Poker Open Returns Sept. 6-23

While all eyes in the poker world are currently on the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event and which players will navigate their way to the final table with many big names still in contention, September will be a big month across the coast at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa thanks to the return of the Borgata Poker Open.

The 2016 Borgata Poker Open takes place from Sept. 6-23 and will include a full schedule of tournaments with huge guarantees including a handful with at least a seven-digit guaranteed prize pool.

The highlight of the poker festival will be the six-day WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship running from Sept. 18-23, where for a $3,500 buy-in players will be competing for at least a $3 million in guaranteed prize pool.

The televised event will feature two opening flights on Sept. 18-19 with unlimited reentries. Additionally, players that advance from Day 1A can still compete in Day 1B and take their best stack forward to Day 2 and the rest of the tournament.

Last year, David Paredes etched his name in Borgata Poker Open history after navigating his way through the 1,027-player field to win the top prize of $723,227.

New Jersey regulated online poker room BorgataPoker.com will be running a plethora of qualifiers leading up to this event and many others on the schedule where players will have the opportunity to enter their target event for pennies on the dollar.

First Ever PokerNews Cup in the United States

For the first-time ever, the PokerNews Cup will hit U.S. soil. Our inaugural event in the United States takes place during the Borgata Poker Open with an action-packed two-day tournament on Sept. 20-21.

This event also marks the first-time the PokerNews Cup will be held in back to back months as from Aug. 10-15 our exclusive poker festival returns to King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic for six-days of exciting poker action.

Borgata Summer Poker Open Taking Place Right Now

If you can't wait to get into the action, the 2016 Borgata Summer Poker Open already kicked off on July 12 featuring 20 tournaments with close to $3 million in guaranteed prize pools.

Some of the biggest and best events are yet to come in the poker festival which runs until July 29 including Event #15: $2,700 Borgata Championship No Limit Hold'em from July 24-28, where players will compete for the at least $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
