Global Poker Increases Guaranteed Prize Pools in the Face of Overlay
Recreational and more serious online poker players in the United States have been flocking to Global Poker thanks to its great games and its unique sweepstake business model which provides a chance to win virtual currency and real cash prizes.
The action became more exciting at Global Poker on May 31 with the launch of the Global Poker Online World Challenge with promises of awarding a total of $1,250,000 $weeps Cash in guarantees and freerolls over the course of eight weeks. Thus far players have been awarded $650,000 $weeps Cash.
The Global Poker Online World Challenge has been a success for players with many of the tournaments featuring overlays. While many sites would reexamine the guarantees after giving away free value in many of its tournaments, Global Poker is doing the opposite by increasing guarantees by 10.9 percent for the remainder of the series. This means that players will be awarded an additional $17,150 $weeps Cash every week.
The schedule has been updated on the Global Poker website to reflect the newly increased guarantees.
The festival also offers plenty of freeroll opportunities to cash game players. There are Daily $500 and Weekly $2,500 freerolls which can be qualified into based on the number of flops seen. Additionally, on July 23, there is a huge $10,000 Monster Challenge freeroll tournament, providing huge value to ring game players.
One other value for players is the very quick payout process to those winning funds. Additionally, PayPal is among the banking options, which provides more faith to players.
"Having your account linked to PayPal is great as you know your money is safe and secure," said Global Poker player "iLLusivE" who has won big at Global Poker. "This is invaluable as a high-stakes player. I have found the cash out process to be very simple and smooth."
