Marcel Luske Becomes Latest partypoker Ambassador

Marcel Luske
  • Marcel Luske will be sporting a partypoker badge during the 2017 World Series of Poker.

Partypoker announced today that Dutch poker pro Marcel "The Flying Dutchman" Luske as its latest ambassador.

Luske has notched the most live tournament cashes in the Netherlands according to The Hendon Mob. His almost $4.5 million in cashes includes more than 30 first-place finishes and two runner-up performances in WSOP events. His biggest haul came when he bubbled the final table of the 2004 WSOP Main Event to bank the 10th place prize of $373,000.

The Dutchman joins an already impressive group of partypoker ambassadors including Sam Trickett, Joao Simao, Patrick Leonard and Padraig Parkinson. Other ambassadors include former tennis superstar Boris Becker, former boxer Carl Froch and Brazilian actor Bruno Gagliasso.

Luske, who will be sporting a partypoker patch during the WSOP in Sin City, shared his excitement about joining Team partypoker in a press release.

"I have been following the journey of partypoker for many years and have been playing in all the partypoker LIVE events recently. I look forward to being part of this new era with partypoker," said Luske.

Partypoker is equally thrilled for Luske to represent its brand.

"Adding someone with as much experience as Marcel to the partypoker team is very exciting," Managing Director of partypoker Tom Waters. "He has been in the poker world for a long time and is a respected name so it is a pleasure to see him join and support partypoker. I look forward to seeing Marcel turn back the years on the partypoker LIVE circuit!"

Partypoker Sponsored Pros Find Success in Rozvadov

In addition to ambassadors, partypoker also has a team of sponsored pros. The trio in attendance during the partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany poker festival that just ended all had big weeks at King's Casino located on the German border in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.

While local Czech poker player Michal Mrakeš had the most to celebrate after he finished on top of a big field of 820 entrants to win the 2017 partypoker MILLION LIVE Germany €1,100 Main Event for €200,000, partypoker Sponsored Pros Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Natalia Breviglieri and Anatoly Filatov all won big as well.

Jachtmann might be well-known on the tournament circuit considering he has won two WSOP gold bracelets. However, in Rozvadov his success came during a high-stakes televised Omaha cash game session where he banked more than €67,000 in profit.

Meanwhile, Breiglieri not only shipped a Charity Event which raised €10,000 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice, she also took sixth place in the Main Event for €32,500.

Filatov also left King's Casino with a full wallet after shipping the partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany €2,200 High Roller for €42,000 as part of a three-way deal.
