PokerStars Reveals Sochi Festival Schedule and Qualifier Info

Sochi
Sharelines
  • PokerStars heads back to Sochi, and the full schedule for the upcoming Festival has been unveiled.

  • Players in select countries can qualify for free for PokerStars Festival Sochi.

Casino Sochi will be hosting a second PokerStars Live event, as PokerStars Festival Sochi kicks off in the Russian city starting Oct. 16, the world's leading online poker provider revealed.

The event comes about six months after PokerStars Championships Sochi went down in the spring.

What's more, players from select countries can qualify for the RUB 66,000 (~$1,100) Main Event through special Zoom freerolls that have already begun on PokerStars.

Festival Details

PokerStars Festival Sochi will feature 16 events spread from Oct. 16-22. Things get rolling with a RUB 11,000 (~$180) Megastack on Monday, Oct. 16. Then, the Main Event gets under way a few days later on Oct. 19, running through Oct. 22 and carrying a handsome guarantee of RUB 30,000,000 (~$500,000).

Other event highlights include a RUB 132,000 (~$2,200) High Roller and a RUB 22,000 (~$370) PokerStars Cup. For a full event-by-event schedule, including reentry information, check out the schedule here.

Qualify For Free

Online qualification is already rolling at PokerStars, and players in select markets can win packages worth $2,500 — including $564 for airfare and six nights of five-star accommodation at luxurious Sochi Marriott Krasnaya Polyana — for free. Daily Zoom freeroll qualifiers are running now, with the top 50 advancing to a weekly final on Sunday, where one lucky winner takes down a package and the top 50 get shares of $1,000 in prize money.

Players in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are eligible. Full qualifier details are available here.
