888poker LIVE Bucharest Main Event Starts March 2
The 888poker LIVE Bucharest festival kicked off today, Feb. 28, with the first of nine value-packed tournaments. Despite costing only €230 to enter, the Opening Event guarantees at least €50,000 will be won.
Following the Opening Event is the eagerly anticipated Main Event. Vlad Darie, Florian Duta, Mihai Niste and Alexandru Papazian are ranked first through fourth in Romania by the Global Poker Index and may turn up to the JW Marriot Hotel in time for the Main Event.

In addition to the top prize money, the winner of the Main Event will also receive a WSOP Vegas Crazy 888s package valued at $2,700, while the champion of the Ladies Event gets her hands on an 888poker LIVE Barcelona package that is worth $1,880.
Gentlemen are permitted to play in the Ladies Event. They will, however, be hit in the pocket for doing so because the buy-in for males is €4,500 instead of the standard €60 paid by female poker players.
Players in the Main Event and High Roller tournament will play with a 30-second shot clock being introduced after a successful test at the 888poker LIVE London Kickoff. Each player in the Main Event and High Roller will have 30-seconds to act, although it is possible to use an extended time chip twice per day should they face a particularly tough decision.
