Niall "Firaldo87" Farrell

On Monday morning, Scotland's Niall "Firaldo87" Farrell tweeted to his nearly 8,000 Twitter followers that he was heading into the final day of SCOOP Event-03-H: $2,100 NLHE [Progresive KO], $1,000,000 Gtd in second place with 37 remaining and could win two weeks off the following day.

Farrell now has that option after shipping the event six hours into play on Tuesday for $222,910 ($118,055 prize + $104,855 in bounties).

This marked the second time Farrell has won a SCOOP event, previously shipping the SCOOP-47-H: $2,100 NL Hold'em [Mix-Max: 6-Max], $300K Guaranteed in 2016 for $173,840.

The victory also catapulted Farrell past the $3 million in career online tournament cashes according to PocketFives.com. This includes a win in the FTOPS $600 Main Event at Full Tilt worth $236,233 as part of a three-way deal with "Chilax Chuck" and Mike "Mike McDonald" McDonald, who each collected $200,000.

This year has been full of milestones for the Scottish poker player. In addition to passing $3 million in online tournament cashes and his second SCOOP title, he also surpassed the $5 million mark in live tournament cashes according to The Hendon Mob after taking fifth place in the partypoker MILLIONS C$25,500 Super High Roller for C$100,000 ($78,291).

The field wasn't the easiest one, as one might imagine for a $2,100 buy-in online event. The top three players were all recognizable names.

Portugal's Manuel "fellatiado" Ruivo, who was registered for the SCOOP event in Poland, took third place for $73,490 ($56,631 prize + $16,859 in bounties) to push him past the $1.2 million mark in PokerStars rest of the world cashes alone according to Official Poker Rankings.

To get the title, Farrell defeated Former PokerStars Team Pro Juan Carlos "PrtyPsux" Alvarado in heads-up play. In addition to Alvarado's many online results, he is the top player on The Hendon Mob Mexico All-Time Money List for live tournament cashes with over $4.4 million to his name.

Despite Farrell's early proclamation about earning two weeks off if he won the event, he was already seen playing in other events on Tuesday including the SCOOP-11-H: $1,050 [Super Tuesday SE], $1,000,000 Gtd where he took 289th place. Germany's "HessKopp" leads the event heading into the second day with the 1,149 field trimmed down to 76 players with the winner slated to receive $183,293.
