Shaun Deeb Scoops Another WCOOP Title On Son's Birthday

Shaun Deeb

Two years ago, on September 8, 2016, Shaun Deeb won the WCOOP-12: $1,050 NL Draw Championship. It was Deeb's fourth WCOOP title but he will most remember that day because of the birth of his second child: Chance Deeb. This year, Deeb had to make another decision during the World Championship of Online Poker: play the events or go home for Chance's birthday.

Scrolling down the lobby on PokerStars made one thing clear: Deeb stayed at his location to play the World Championship of Online Poker. And he probably won't regret it after winning another WCOOP title on his son's birthday:

It was probably a brag, but not everyone was so congratulatory. Some users reacted with positive comments, but there were people who couldn't understand his decision. Daniel Lewis was clear in his comment:

Is Multi-tabling Bad for Your Health?

But looking at his screen during WCOOP with multiple tables open day after day, missing his son's birthday may be the least of his problems. Former World Champion Martin Jacobson sent out a tweet raising concerns about the dangers of multi-tabling:

Ryan "Protentialmn" Laplante also shared his 'thoughts' about this:

What do you think?

  • WCOOP update: Shaun Deeb runs good on his son's b-day and Martin Jacobson wonders about the dangers of multi-tabling.
