The final five players were each guaranteed a healthy payout of HKD 1,005,000 ($128,115) or more than quadruple the buy-in.

O'Dwyer could have been the one to exit first as he took a significant risk with Dietrich Fast down to less than one big blind after he called a jam for his tournament life with pocket jacks on a queen high board against Beh Kok Weng. Weng turned over ace-ten suited, and O'Dwyer doubled up instead of bubbling the tournament after the turn and river bricked.

Eventually, Fast couldn't hold on any longer and hit the rail on the bubble.

Shortly after, Sam Greenwood was the first player out in the money after his king-queen couldn't outflip O'Dwyer's pocket sixes.

Beh Kok Weng was the next to go in fourth place for HKD 1,240,000 ($158,073) after his king-seven didn't improve against the pocket queens held by online high-stakes legend Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger.

A blind level passed before Linus Loeliger was out on a cooler in third place for HKD 1,720,000 ($219,262). He flopped two pair, but O'Dwyer flopped a straight. Loeliger couldn't improve to a full house, and O'Dwyer scooped the pot.

O'Dwyer began heads-up play with a 2:1 chip advantage against Isaac Haxton. The duo made a deal with O'Dwyer guaranteed an HKD 3,458,784 payout and Haxton guaranteed HKD 2,901,216 with HKD 250,000 left to play for heads-up.

Haxton was able to narrow O'Dwyer's chip lead before the final hand took place. Haxton limp-jammed the button with king-seven and was called by O'Dwyer with king-queen. The board ran all blanks for Haxton and O'Dwyer was awarded the trophy.
