Unibet Open Visits Paris on Nov. 27 to Dec. 1
The Unibet Open heads back to the romantic French capital of Paris for the second time in tour history for five days of exciting poker action on Nov. 27 to Dec. 1. The festival will take place at the Club Circus, which just opened a couple of months ago.
As usual, PokerNews will cover the highlight of the festival, the Unibet Open Paris €1,100 Main Event on Nov. 28 to Dec. 1.
The tournament is a deep-stacked affair with players starting off with 30,000 in chips during each of the opening flights on Nov. 28-29. The first two opening flights feature 45 and 60 minute blind levels while the final opening flight is a turbo-charged affair with 20-minute blind levels. The tournament allows for one reentry but only if their second entry is on Day 1c.
Players bagging chips will battle it out for two more days on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 until the second-ever Unibet Open Paris Main Event Winner is crowned.
Poland's Jaroslaw Barglik will go down in history as the first Unibet Open Paris Main Event winner in 2012. He finished on top of 439 entrants including besting Swedish pro Kent Lundmark heads-up to take down the Main Event for €140,539. Back then, the event was held at the Cercle Cadet and featured a higher €1,650 buy-in.
2019 Unibet Open Paris Schedule
While the Main Event is the main attraction of the festival, the Unibet Open Paris features a handful of other side events and invitation-only events including the Unibet Tag Team Championship on Nov. 27 and the Unibet Battle Royale on Nov. 28.
Also on the schedule are the €220 NLH Progressive Knockout (50%) on Nov. 30 and the €165 NLH Turbo on Dec. 1.
Many players will already be in town thanks to the Unibet DeepStack Open taking place just before on Nov. 20-24. The highlight of that festival is the Unibet DeepStack Open Paris €550 Main Event featuring six opening flights, two Day 2s, and one final day.
