Gregory Luttke-Grech Wins WPTDeepStacks Brussels (€102,000)

The popular WPTDeepStacks tour has crowned a new champion with Gregory Luttke-Grech winning the latest Main Event of the tour in Viago Grand Casino Brussels. The Frenchman won the €1,200 Main Event for €102,000 after defeating a 482-player field. Lutte-Grech was the star of the day, eliminating five of the seven finalists single-handily to claim the trophy.
Runner-up was Sonny Franco, who's closing in on the $2M lifetime winnings mark with his second-place prize of €65,000, according to The Hendon Mob. The heads-up with Luttke-Grech lasted just 12 minutes after Franco flopped top pair, only to run into Luttke-Grech's pocket aces. Paul Pires-Trigo rounded out the podium with a prize of €48,000.
With the win, Luttke-Grech continues on a highly successful year with already his 7th win of 2019. The €102K won in Brussels was by far the biggest of the bunch, eclipsing his previous lifetime best by four times. After his victory, Luttke-Grech explained to WPT on what changed for him in 2019.
"I have lived in Tunisia for 18 months, maybe it’s working for me. A better lifestyle, maybe."
"I am here for the win," he explained his motivations. "I’m very happy for my friends that they will get a good share."

WPTDeepStacks Brussels €2,200 High Roller
A field of 124 entries showed up for the €2,200 High Roller, that finished on the same day as the Main Event. 15 places got paid and at the end of the day, The Netherlands' Roseline Siman won the event for €63,000. Siman, the winner of a WSOP Circuit ring in Rotterdam last year, added a WPTDeepStacks trophy to her resumé, as well as the biggest score of her career.

The WPT will travel to Cambodia next for the $1,100 Main Event, kicking off on November 21st. The next WPTDeepStacks in Europe will be held from Jan. 7-13 in Casino Spielbank, Berlin.
